The Next Chapter

Today, the Saint John Caledonian Pipe Band is once again in a period of growth.

With renewed membership, developing musicians, experienced players, and a return to the competition field, the band is focused not simply on preserving its history, but on adding to it.

The 2026 competition season saw SJCPB participate at the Perth-Andover Gathering of the Scots Festival and compete at Highland Games in Moncton, Antigonish, and Fredericton.

The season produced strong results in Grade 5, including:

• Moncton Highland Games: 1st in the March Set and 2nd in the Medley

• Antigonish Highland Games: 2nd in the March Set and 1st in the Medley

• Fredericton Highland Games: 2nd in both the March Set and Medley

The season also reflected something even more important than trophies: the continued transfer of knowledge between experienced musicians and newer members of the band.

Alongside competition, SJCPB continues its busy schedule of parades, concerts, community appearances, and cultural events, while looking ahead to new goals — including plans for another trip to Scotland in 2027.
